A fifth wheel trailer, or 5th wheel, is a trailer designed to be towed by a pickup equipped with special hitch in the truck bed. It's easy to tell from the gooseneck shape at the front. Typically, the front section of the fifth wheel trailer houses the main or master bedroom.
Fifth wheel rvs are equipped with the conveniences of class A and C motorhomes depending on their length but may have two or three slideouts. When the slideouts are extended, they provide a greater amount of living space.
A fifth wheel shares the advantage of a travel trailer in regards to being able to detatch from the truck when you get to your camp grounds or vacationing place.
